I first stepped into the WKNO world in 2005 when I was 16 and answered phones for a FM pledge drive. I helped out with a few more pledge drives and for Action Auction, and the camaraderie between the volunteers and the WKNO staff made me feel right at home. Working behind the scenes at WKNO-FM made me realize the importance of listener support, and my fellow volunteers and I believed in the quality and value of the programs WKNO-FM provides the Mid-South.
After my freshman year at UT I was fortunate enough to be asked to come be the Sunday afternoon host, and I loved getting to "play on the radio" and listen to my favorite Sunday programs such as A Prairie Home Companion, Radiolab, and Weekend All Things Considered. I have just moved back to Memphis after being a schoolteacher in France, and I will be starting at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law this Fall. After a five year hiatus, I am delighted to be back on the air at WKNO-FM!
