Bluegrass Icon Claire Lynch to perform in Collierville, Paragould

Claire Lynch has one of the most identifiable voices in Bluegrass music today, as well as a huge collection of songwriting credits and a couple of Best Female Vocalist awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association.  She will be appearing at Collierville United Methodist Church at 8 pm on Friday the 11th, and at the Collins Theatre in downtown Paragould, Arkansas at 7 pm on Monday the 14th.  Darel Snodgrass spoke with Claire about her career.

I began piano lessons at age 6, trumpet at age 9, and began teaching myself the guitar at 10. My electronics knowledge comes from my father, who had the RCA television and stereo shop in my hometown of Pocahontas, Arkansas for nearly 20 years. My dad is still fixing televisions at age 79.
