Finding a Gym that Fits

Church Health Center

Joining a gym is easy, but getting the most out of a gym is hard.

Month- in and month-out, people waste money by not using the gym memberships that they are paying for. Don’t be that person.

Instead, find the best gym for you.

You want a gym that is close to home or work. We love convenience so, if you have to drive 15 miles to the gym, you probably aren’t going to go. Find something in walking distance or within a short drive.

Second, what kind of gym atmosphere are you looking for? Do you want a smaller, boutique gym, a specialized studio or a big box gym?

All of those options have some attractive qualities be it price, expertise in a certain exercise, amount of equipment or personalization. Just find your fit.

If you hate huge crowds and a sea of exercise equipment, then you are probably more suited for a smaller, boutique gym. Whereas, if you are motivated by seeing others work hard and love being part of big groups, then a bigger gym is probably more suitable for you.

There are also specialized, larger gyms that have the designation of being a Certified Medical Fitness Facility. Individuals wanting to manage chronic conditions or those who want to stay healthy, join in together for exercise and health education all under one roof.

Ultimately, the goal is to find what best fits your personality and proximity. I’m Erica Walters with the Church Health Center.
