Healthy Treats for your Best Friend

Hollywood Feed

There’s a new bakery in town whipping up scrumptious organic treats … all for your favorite pet!

With pet owners becoming increasingly concerned with the quality of their pet’s food and treats, the gourmet pet bakery industry is booming … and our own locally-owned Hollywood Feed has stepped in to make sure our dogs have tasty options.

“The main reason Hollywood Feed opened up a bakery is because we wanted a healthy option for all pets to enjoy. We wanted treats that didn’t contain any preservatives, by-products, no allergens, corn, wheat, or soy … we wanted a tasty treat for all our guests to enjoy,” explains Christa Gilliland, manager of the Hollywood Feed Union Avenue store and their brand new bakery.

The menu sounds so tempting …

“Some of our fresh baked options are going to include a Peanut Butter and Banana Mini-Cupcake. We also have Pumpkin Cream Cheese Bars, Blueberry Oatmeal Muffins, Pumpkin and Carob Drizzled Bundt Cakes … the list goes on and on.”

“Our most popular item so far has to be the Bacon and Zucchini Mini-Quiches. All dogs love bacon and we actually have a few cats that enjoy those too.”

When purchasing or making treats for your pets, Christa suggests the following …

“So something you should look for when picking a treat for your dog is making sure they are made and sourced from quality ingredients. We use Bob’s Red Mill for a lot of our flours, Stahlbush is gonna be who we get our purees from, and Frontier does all of our spices. All our ingredients are all organic and locally sourced as possible.”

All the biscuits are now available in the Memphis-area stores but currently the specialty treats are only available at the Union Avenue location.
