Opera Memphis Preview of Don Pasquale

Gaetano Donizetti’s Don Pasquale brings the Opera Memphis 2011-2012 season to a close at the Orpheum Theatre.

In the tradition of opera buffa, Don Pasquale harks back to the stock characters of the commedia dell’arte. With a world-renowned artist roster new to the Opera Memphis stage, Don Pasquale promises to be an unforgettable evening and a perfect date night.

Darel Snodgrass hosts a preview of Don Pasquale live from the Clark Opera Memphis Center.

The performances will be March 31 and April 4 at the Orpheum Theatre at 7:30pm.

My mother introduced me to WKNO-FM and public radio long before I can remember. I suppose the first thing I really recall about WKNO-FM is that every afternoon, when my mother picked me up from school, the radio was tuned-in to The World, then All Things Considered, probably beginning around age 8. The way these reporters and hosts took you from the comfort of your mom's van to wherever in the world they were reporting from absolutely fascinated me. From then on, I was officially hooked.
