Project Motion - Bloom: A Landscape of New Dances

New dances sprout in abundance as Project: Motion concludes its 25th anniversary season with home grown choreography by Rebecca Cochran, Emily Hefley, Louisa Koeppel and Sarah Ledbetter.

Inspired by the beauty of Memphis gardens, green spaces and other "green" ideas, the deeply rooted modern dance group digs even deeper, discovering fertile ground for collaborating, exploring and cultivating new vibrant dance works.

BLOOM will also feature two Memphis premieres by guest artists Peter Carpenter (Chicago) and Emily Argyle (New York).

My mother introduced me to WKNO-FM and public radio long before I can remember. I suppose the first thing I really recall about WKNO-FM is that every afternoon, when my mother picked me up from school, the radio was tuned-in to The World, then All Things Considered, probably beginning around age 8. The way these reporters and hosts took you from the comfort of your mom's van to wherever in the world they were reporting from absolutely fascinated me. From then on, I was officially hooked.
