Nearly half a million votes have already been cast in Tennessee. Early voting is on pace to break turnout records set in previous presidential elections. Some voters say they want to avoid the drama of November 8.

Larry and Mitzi Furkins of South Nashville say they expect this Election Day to be like no other, so they got their voting over with this weekend.

"On that day, it could be crazy," Mitzi Furkins said.

"I figure, with as crazy as it is, there will probably be trouble Election Day, people trying to prevent other people from voting," Larry Furkins added. "So I figured we would sneak out and get it done."

The Furkins say they've had their minds made up from the start anyway. In their view, Hillary Clinton is the most qualified person to run for president in their lifetime.

Accountant Anita Sullivan of Nashville also said there was no reason to wait, but she's a Donald Trump supporter, primarily based on a single issue.

"Abortion to me is just evil," she said. "I don't like it. I don't think it's right. There's just no reason, I think."

Sullivan said she's not totally convinced that Trump is anti-abortion, but she's confident in his running mate, Mike Pence, which is why Trump won her vote.
