Memphis, TN – Michelle Rhee gained national prominence as the chancellor of D.C.'s public schools. Rhee's reforms raised test scores in the majority African-American, majority economically disadvantaged district, but also raised ire when she closed schools and fired principals and teachers. Rhee told Eleanor Boudreau what she believes is wrong with public education, and what will fix it.
