A New Fall Festival

Mark your calendars! Memphis has a new event coming to town that you MUST attend!

The 1st annual Memphis Food and Wine Festival will celebrate our hometown’s culinary scene and help let the world know what great restaurants we have here in Memphis.

“We are really excited to share with the community the great food, wine, and music that we are so proud of,” explains Nancy Kistler, one of the founding members of the event planning committee.

“We also wanted this event to benefit the community and we are pleased to partner with FedEx to benefit the FedEx Family House at Lebonheur Children’s Hospital,” added Sherry Chimenti, also a founding committee member.

“The Memphis Food and Wine Festival is scheduled for October 15th of this year, it’s the inaugural event, from 6pm to until 10pm at The Live Garden at Memphis Botanic Garden.”

Attendees of the Memphis Food and Wine Festival will get to taste wines and fabulous dishes from an impressive collection of 75 vendors from Memphis and across the country.

“We have a fabulous line-up of chefs arriving. Jean-Georges Vongerichten from New York and 34 restaurants all over the world, Dominic Orsini from Silver Oak Winery, Vivian Howard from Kinston, NC.”

“We also have a great line-up from the area. And the local chefs have been terrific to work with. They are so committed and excited about the Festival.” Jose Gutierrez of River Oaks is the event Chef Chairman and along with the assistance of Wally Joe has assembled this over-the-top collection of chefs.

“Festival tickets (both individual and reserve tables) are available through our website which is www.memphisfoodwinefestival.org, through Ticketmaster, and at the Memphis Botanic Garden box office.”
